Permavoid 85 is a modular interlocking polypropene geocellular unit. It is designed as a high strength, lightweight and shallow subbase replacement system. The system is characterized by its exceptionally high compressive strength and bending resistance.

In combination with the Permavoid Capillary Cylinders the system can be used in water sensitive urban design, enabling stormwater attenuation, conveyance and natural capillary plant irrigation without the use of energy, pumps or in-building water storage tanks. The units are connected with PermaTies to create a rigid horizontal structural ‘raft’, ideal for multifunctional subbase applications.
