Take a look at the temporary coverage of this pitch at the Stoop:

As part of an initiative to raise the profile of hockey, England Hockey and its partners, including UK Sport and the National Lottery, have been investing in new innovative pitch technologies which will make it possible to host temporary hockey events at the highest level in the most prestigious stadiums throughout the UK.

The first stadium to be transformed to host the FIH Pro League double header finals against New Zealand's Black Sticks is The Stoop, home of the Harlequins. This pioneering event will see the largest hockey attendance in the UK since the 2012 Olympics. The innovative pitch technologies had to deliver a top class hockey surface and the ability for install / removal in a short time window without damaging the rugby pitch beneath for the Harlequins' upcoming season. Scrupulous attention to detail made it possible to install 6200m2 of Permavoid units to an impeccable tolerance of just +/-2mm.
